Summer Camp 2026 Registration is Now Open!

​

The Jessie Feliz Summer Camp is back for its fifth year, and we’re excited to once again host camp at our very own Jessie Feliz Learning Center in Detroit! This year’s program will run for five weeks and offers an engaging, multilingual, and hands-on experience for children ages 5–12.

​

Our camp blends language learning, creative expression, movement, outdoor exploration, and cultural discovery to create a joyful environment where children can grow, connect, and learn together.

2026 Theme:

Become What You Believe

 

This summer’s theme encourages campers to recognize their strengths, develop new skills, and grow into the best version of themselves. Through collaborative activities and creative projects, students will explore what it means to believe in their potential and support one another along the way.

​

Throughout the five weeks, campers will participate in a variety of enriching activities including:

• Spanish language learning

• American Sign Language (ASL)

• Cooking and cultural food experiences

• Dance and creative movement

• Art and creative expression

• Physical fitness and outdoor play

• Gardening and nature exploration

• Hands-on STEM and literacy activities

We are also excited to introduce a new math enrichment component in partnership with the Banneker Legacy Education Group, helping campers build confidence with numbers through fun, real-world applications connected to gardening, movement, and problem-solving activities.

​

Campers will also enjoy field trips, including a visit to the Buffalo Soldiers Horse Ranch, Eliza Howell Park, and Tattan Park Splash Pad, along with plenty of fun in the sun and opportunities to explore our beautiful natural spaces.
